Highlights
- Stewards are required to be qualified craftpersons capable of performing the work in question… There are no non-working stewards, nor are there any non-working personnel under the National Maintenance Agreements (NMAs).
- Stewards are to be appointed by the appropriate local union and confirmed in writing to the Employer (Contractor).
- Stewards are to be the last employee to be laid-off, provided that they are capable of performing the remaining work on the job.
- All Union Representatives shall have reasonable access to NMA job sites. (Reference Policy Decision VII-2)
